VideoSWOOKI is a peer-to-peer semantic wiki. It combines advantages of peer-to-peer wikis and semantic wikis. Integration of semantic web technology in wikis improves searching, structuring and navigation of wikis pages. It makes also the wiki content machine-readable allowing content extraction for reuse in external applications. Peer-to-peer architectures provide decentralized, scalable and reliable services on top of a network of loosely coupled and weakly connected peers. SWOOKI is a peer-to-peer network with data replication. Each peer has a copy of shared data (text and semantic data). The replication of data allows better performance, availability of data, scalability, fault-tolerance and off-line work. A peer can execute all queries locally without any remote access. It is necessary to synchronize modifications on shared data. SWOOKI integrates a novel synchronization algorithm that synchronize text and semantic data and ensures convergence on these data.
